Let me start by saying that this keyboard is a MUST for anyone! It is absolutely the best thing I have put my fingers on in quite a while......LOLFor the last 3 months I have been on the hunt for a keyboard that would meet all my crazy criteria...and I finally found it.First, some background: I am a software engineer and have been writing code and working at a desk in front a keyboard for the last 27 years, so a keyboard (and mouse) is my tool for the trade. In addition, I am extremely picky. More than just for the purpose of creature comforts, I look for "utility" in my tech and for things to be solid, good quality and made in a logical way.For a keyboard, I had this list of criteria:1. Backlit keys2. Quiet keys3. Primary dedicated media buttons that do NOT require a Fn/secondary key to be pressed for access.4. Easy volume controls5. Quiet keys6. Solid build that does not bend down with each key press7. Multi-colors for the backlit keys, if possible8. Quiet keys9. Mechanical-style keys (height and actuation)10. Properly spaced keys11. Quiet keys12. "Linear" Enter key (not "L" shape.....why...why?)Did I mention Quiet keys??? That actually should have been at the top of the list.I know it is a personal preference, and mine is not the clicky noise...it's just too distracting to me.Well, folks - this is it! This is the keyboard that answers ALL the criteria above. To date, I have tried over 20 keyboards and none hit the mark. I've tried cheap ones, medium and expensive ones. Couldn't find it until this. The keys are made of a nice material that provides just that little "grip" you need not to slide off of the surface.Actuation is amazing and the bottom of the key press is dampened (noise-side) in such a nice way that you can barely hear it. I really do mean barely!!SO many reviews and manufacturer write-ups talk about quiet keys...but they were not. This keyboard is absolutely that - quite and pleasant (if you can even say that).Keys are spaced out nicely and typing accuracy is very high.I particulary like the fact that I can set RGB values for the backlit color of the keys...that's just excellent. The software that gets installed by Razer is very good as well. Intuitive and gives you super control over every aspect of the keyboard.I've only had this keyboard ONE day, and already love it. If I think about it, I will return in 30 days and add an update.Price - I wasn't too "comfortable" with spending that type of cash for a keyboard...but now that it's here and I am typing this review with it...it was worth every penny! You DO get what you pay for.If you are in the market - spend the extra dollars and get this! You will NOT be disappointed!!! :)Honestly I think this is one of the best keyboards I've ever owned. The keystrokes are so smooth and comfortable, with a minor click at the bottom. It's very quiet as well, being BARELY audible with my headset on, with no audio playing of course. Can't even be picked up by my microphone over discord, which sits directly above my keyboard. The material the keys are made of feels great to me as well, and the wrist wrest is just as comfortable. Well worth the purchase. This is the nicest keyboard i have ever touched in my life. the key strokes are so soft and precise. i can type silent if i go slow enough. the membrane on the v2 is amazing and the linear optical (red switches) are like straight hot butter to type with. feels amazing. the chroma is super cool too way more customization than i realized. I wish the wrist rest had a stronger magnet in it or at least a catch so that i can't slide side to side on the keyboard... but still 9.9/10 for that.i got it 10% but would totally pay full price. very worth it. I've had a ton of keyboards and this wins.I don't dislike or hate this keyboard; it's just expensive for what you get.Logitech has better features (better battery for their wireless models, and much better mice), but for whatever reason, always use low-profile key switches.I went with the "tactile", non-clicky key switches, and the optical sensor is so sensitive, that resting your hands on the keys will sometimes cause a miskey. So, it took a little getting used to. That said, if you're playing games with it, perhaps the sensitivity is desired. The cable is a decent length, but you're not going to run it across a room (and don't bother with their wireless keyboards), the customization options are mostly decent, but the software is clunky, and they don't allow key re-mapping for certain keys (which is silly).I wanted to disable the Windows Key for gaming, or to re-map, but was unable to. You are about to disable or re-map and create profiles (where the Synapse software is supposed to recognize running apps and switch between keyboard profiles), but I've yet to have that work. The media keys are okay, but it would've been nice to have some Logitech-style macro buttons on the left side for gaming. The lighting array is really hit-or-miss. I don't like pulsing rainbows, and opted to simply backlight the keys with as-close-to-white backlight as possible. Some of the lighting seems uneven and not particularly bright. It's just not as clean as even my decade-old Logitech K800.Would I pay $200 again? Probably not. Maybe for ~$160, it's not such a bad deal. I just wish Logitech would embrace taller key caps.I spent MANY hours researching keyboards, and this one consistently came up as a high performer. I needed something quiet, durable, and comfortable. The RGB is of no importance, but it's a cool touch. This is my first mechanical keyboard, and I was really nervous about how loud the keys were going to be after watching a ton of YouTube videos about mechanical key volume. I read a ton of reviews saying the V2 keys were significantly quieter, and I can vouch for that. I'm extremely happy with this purchase. The wrist support is a must-have because of how high the keyboard is. I do find that it gets a bit warm, even though I'm currently in winter at the time of writing, so I'm a bit nervous about the wrist wrest getting hot in summer, so I'll have to see how that goes.I play games as a secondary use, and this has been great for that as well.I'm not a seasoned veteran when it comes to keyboards, but I can say that I really REALLY like this one. El precio si es elevado pero si lo tuyo son los juegos y y el RGB datelo.I find that this the V2 Optical Clicky version is a dubious upgrade from the Huntsman Elite. The biggest benefit is that it uses one USB port rather than two. It gives up the halo RBB lighting around the keyboard, which is just fine with me, since it was something I didn't care about in the first place. The wrist rest is also nicer; the old Elite wrist wrest was RGB, but had a hard edge to it that bit into my wrists. Like the old one, it's magnetic, which is a nice touch. However, I still prefer the standalone Razer one better (which is similar to what comes with the blackwidow). Most importantly, I find the keys a little (very slightly) stiffer than my Elite, and I simply prefer the Elite - so much so that I brought it back out and am using my old keyboard. I really wish they had a passthrough USB port on it, and I would love if there were a simple switch that would make the mode where if there were no software installed, it could have static lighting or no lighting at all (or, it would be amazing if it could be one of the in-keyboard memory profiles). All that said, this is a fine keyboard, and I love the Razer keyboards more than any other brand I've tried, and the purple switches are, in my opinion, the best in the industry.Got the Huntsman V2 TKL version with Red switch. I just received the keyboard today after returning the BlackWidow V3 with Green Switch (wife hated the keyboard :P, so do I a little). With the Red switch, my wife will be happy.. and the noise.. is really dampened with the Hunstan V2 TKL.I would have prefered for Razer to have this keyboard with a tactile but not clicky (like the brown switch). But still, it feels good. Maybe it needs a little more pressure than what I'm used too. Also, I got used with the Steam Controller to reprogram any button like anything, and hold button to switch scheme, create macro, etc... Razer is not at the same level of configurability the Steam Controller is. A single Hypershift.... that just short..I'd also like (just like when you press the FN button), to change the LED scheme when pressing a button to idenity the new mapping. But heh.. you don't really look at the keyboard when you use it :P it's just ... Nice..It's the first time I experiment Razer product.. :) Hope to find some nice features.I think this keyboard is great. I don't game so know nothing of those qualities but at least it feels like you're typing on this board. The keys have just the right depth to feel comfortable. They say the keys don't light up but the backlighting does seep through them enough that they seem lit. I have changed any colour combos. I like them as default. The mouse is a good shape. I have small hands and I find it very comfortable and accurate. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
